Vermicelli Kheer or seviyan

Seviyan or vermicelli kheer, is a traditional very popular and delicious. which is very easy to make.


Ingredients:
          1cup Vermicelli
          1liter Milk
          1/2 cup Sugar (or to taste)
          1/4 cup Raisins
          1/4 cup Cashew nuts
          1/2 tsp Green Cardamom powder 
          2tbsp Ghee or Butter

Method:
          Heat Ghee in a non-stick pan. Add Cashew nuts and Raisins and Sauté till nuts are brown. Remove them keep them aside.
          In the same pan, add Vermicelli and sauté till light golden. Remove from heat and set aside.
          Boil the Milk in a deep bottom pan and bring it to boil.
          Now Add fried Vermicelli, mix well and cook on medium heat for about 10 min.
          Add Sugar and Cardamom powder. Mix well and cook on low heat for about another 5more min.
          Remove from heat and add fried Cashew nuts and Raisins. Mix well.
          Serve immediately.
