Besan ke Dahi Vada

Dahi Vada is a popular snack of the region. Pakistan, India and Bangladesh people are eagerly eating this snack.  Dahi Vada recipe has many variations. Besan ke dahi vada is also a variation of regular Dahi Vada. You can make it at home with simple easy steps. No extra ordinary ingredients required. You can enjoy this recipe in Ramadan for Iftar as well as on Eid and other occasions.


Makes/Serves:  4 to 5 Servings

Ingredients:
          2 cups Besan 
          1/4 tsp Baking Powder
          ½ tsp Salt
          1¼ cup of water
          Pinch of Asafetida( optional)
          1/2 tsp Fennel powder
          Oil  for deep frying 
          1 cup Yogurt 
          1 tsp. Salt
          1 tsp. Sugar
           1tsp Chaat masala 
          1tsp Cumin powder
          1tso Chili powder 
          2tsp sweet chutney 
          2 tsp chopped Coriander leaves
          1tbsp Alo Bujiya

 Method:
          In a bowl add the Besan, Salt, Baking powder, Fennel powder, Asafetida  and  make a paste with 1¼ cup of water. Mix well and leave for1 hr. 
          Then heat a frying pan add oil and with the help of a spoon, drop the spoon full of paste into the pan and deep fry till light brown. 
          Now Vada is ready.
           Side by side take a bowl with cold water and mix a pinch of salt.
          Now drop the Bara to cold water, when it get a little soft, squeeze out the water between palms and take out them in a serving dish.
          Now in bowl beat Yogurt and Sugar together with adding little water.
          And pour Yogurt to each over the Bara, top of them pour sweet chutney, sprinkle them with Cumin powder, Chart masala, Chili powder, Alo Bujiya, and Coriander leaves.
          Serve it like a Chaat/Sncak.

Cook Tip: After frying the Vada you can leave it aside, soak in water when you want to want to serve it.
