Kachori is
a crispy, delicious, spicy, fried puff pastry. This sweet coconut
Kachoris are great as teatime snack.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
•
1cups Whole Wheat Flour
•
2 tbsp. Ghee or Oil
•
Water as required
•
Salt as required
For the stuffing:
•
1 cup Grated Coconut
•
½ cup Powdered Sugar (regular
sugar) or how much sugar you like.
•
3 to 4 Cardamoms,
•
2 Bay leaves,
•
1 inch long Cinnamon.
Method:
For the dough:
•
In a bowl mix flour, Salt and Oil to make a crumbled
mixture.
•
Now add Water and
knead into soft dough.
•
Cover the dough with a wet
muslin cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes.
For the
stuffing:
•
In a pan add Coconut, Sugar
and all whole garam masala mix them well. Now start stove and put the pan on
heat, stir it continuously on a low heat. Cook the Coconut till it begins to
gather and dry .It takes about 10 min, turn off the flame Let the Coconut
stuffing cool down completely. Take the stuffing in plate and let it cool.

Now prepare small balls
from the stuffing and keep aside.
•
Now divide the dough into
equal portions and keep aside.
•
Roll out each portion of the dough in to small
puri.
•
Place one portion of the Coconut filling into
the center of puri and bring together all the sides, seal it tightly and remove
any excess dough.
•
Roll
the filled portion again, while ensuring that the filling does not spill out.
Or you can press it with your palm.
•
Repeat the steps to the other Kachoris.
•
Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry, the
Kachoris on a medium heat, till golden brown.
•
Drain and bring out them to paper towel.
•
Serve it with tea.
