Suji Ka Halwa

Suji Ka Halwa is a very popular sweet dish all over India and is made on religious occasions. Easy to make and so delicious


Gulab Jamun

Gulab Jamun is a milk-solids-based dessert is widely known as lal mohan, popular in countries of South Asia such as India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Makes/Serves: 10 to 12 small balls

Ingredients:
          1 cup Milk Powder 
          3tbsp Maida (All purpose flour)
          1/4tsp Baking Soda
          1tsp Ghee
          Salt a pinch
          2tbsp Yogurt
          Oil or Ghee for Deep frying (or mix both of them)
          2tsp Lemon Juice
          For Syrup:
          1.5 cup Sugar 
         2 cup Water 
          Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp 
          Few drops of Rose Water 
          Saffron a big pinch



Piyaji or Onion Fritters

Piyaji stands for onion fritters. It is very crispy and very tasty and easy to make and goes very well with tea.

Tandoori Quail or Bataer

Similar to the famous Tandoori chicken , Quail is a bird known as ‘Bataer’ in subcontinent is very crispy and yummy. Being a soft bird even the bones can be chewed being very soft and tender. Cleaned frozen Quails in a set of six are available in  variety of Halal Meat shops in North Americas.


Home-style Fried Chicken

KFC style fried chicken are loved by many but many cannot eat them as they are not available as ‘Halal’ outside Gulf.  I tried this recipe on my own and came out good.
