Suji Ka Halwa is a very popular
sweet dish all over India and is made on religious occasions. Easy to make and
so delicious
Ingredients:
•
1 cups Suji
•
1/2 cup Ghee
•
2 1/2 cups Hot Water
•
1/2 cup Sugar
•
1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
•
3/4 cup mixture of Cashews and Whole
Raisins and Almond
Method:
•
Heat a deep pan on medium heat and
add ghee. When it melts, add the Suji and mix well.
•
Roast the Suji (stirring
frequently) till it begins to turn a very light golden color and it give a nice
aroma. The roasted Suji will have the grainy consistency of wet sand. Now add
the almond and raisins to the Suji and mix well.
•
While you are roasting the Suji, in
a separate pot and on medium heat, boil water.
•
Now add sugar in suji stirring
frequently for about 1 to min 2 min.
•
Now add water, and stirring all the
while to prevent lumps from forming.so you get a smooth paste-like consistency.
Cook the mixture till it is thick and begins to come away from the sides of the
pan.
•
Turn off the heat and allow the
mixture to cool to a warm temperature.
•
Garnish with cashew and raisin.
•
Serve it Hot.

Cook Tip: Instead of using ghee you can use oil.
