Fried Saucy Chicken

Saucy Chicken is very tasty, in which chicken cooked with tomato sauce and can served with rice and pulao.


Makes/Serves: 6 pieces


Ingredients:
          Chicken legs 6 pieces,
          2 Onion cut into thin slices (medium sized)
          2tbsp Ginger and Garlic paste  
          1 tsp Chilli powder 
          1 tsp Pepper powder
          1/2tsp Garam Masala 
          3 tbsp Tomato sauce
          1tbsp Sugar (optional)
          1Bay leaf  
          1inch Cinnamon
          Salt to taste
          3tbsp Oil

Method:
           Marinate the washed and dried chicken with Salt, Chilli powder, Ginger and Garlic paste and Pepper for about 1hr.
          Heat Oil in a thick-bottomed pan add the Sugar and allow it to caramelize.
          Now add bay leaf and Cinnamon. Next add the Onions. Fry on a medium flame for 3 to 4min.
          Add the Chicken pieces. Let the pieces get brown on all sides.
          Now close the lid of the pan until the chicken is cooked.
          Open the lid and add the Sauce, Pepper and the Garam Masala. Fry on a medium flame till well done.
          Serve with pulao or rice.
