Chicken 65

Chicken 65 is a dry spicy, red, deep fried chicken chunks usually served as snack, entree or appetizer.


Makes/Serves:  3 to 4 Servings

Ingredients:
          2 Chicken breasts (cut into cubes)
          2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
          2 tsp Turmeric powder 
          1 tsp Kashmiri Chili powder
          1tsp Black Pepper powder
          1tsp Garam masala
          2tbsp Lemon juice (or yogurt )
          1 Cumin seeds
          1 tsp Mustard seeds
          2 tbsp Corn flour (or rice flour.)
          4 to 5 Green Chilies
          1 Egg
          7 -10 Curry leaves
           Oil for deep frying
           Few drops of Red food color (optional)
           Salt to taste

 Method:
          Marinate Chicken with Ginger Garlic paste, Red Chili powder, Lemon juice or Yogurt, Garam masala, Turmeric and Black Pepper powder, very little Salt and Curry leaves. Keep it aside for 1hr to 2hr. 
           Add Corn flour and Egg  with marinated Chicken and mix well.
          Add food color ,which is optional.
          Heat Oil and deep fry the Chicken pieces until golden. Drain them on a kitchen tissue.
          Heat a pan with 1 tbsp. Oil, add Curry leaves,Green Chilies and Cumin and Mustard seeds fry till the curry leaves turn crisp.
          Add the fried Chicken and toss and fry on medium heat for about 1min. 
          Serve with Onion and Lemon wedges.
