Chili Chicken

Chili Chicken is a popular Indo-Chinese dish of Chicken. . Though mainly boneless Chicken is used in this dish, some people also recommend using boned Chicken too.



Makes/Serves:  5 Servings

Ingredients:
·      200 gm boneless Chicken, diced
·      1/2 cup Onions, thickly sliced
·      ½ cup Green Capsicum, thickly sliced
·      1/2cup Red Capsicum, thickly sliced
·      2 tsp Green chilies, thickly sliced

·      1 Egg, slightly beaten

·      1/2 cup corn flour

·      1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
 
·      Salt or to taste
 
·      Oil for deep frying

·      1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
·      1tbsp Red Chili Sauce 

·      1 tbsp Vinegar


 Method:
·      Mix together the Chicken, Egg, Corn flour, Garlic and Ginger paste, 2 tsp Salt, and leave this for about 1/2 an hour.
·      Heat the oil and deep-fry the chicken pieces over high heat to begin with and then lower the heat till chicken is cooked. Drain the chicken pieces on absorbent paper.
·      Heat 2 tbsp of the Oil in a pan, add Onions and stir-fry over high heat till they are translucent.
·      Add the green chilies and green Capsicum, red capsicum and stir, add cook for about 3 to 5 min on high heat.
·      Now add Salt, Soy Sauce, Red Chili Sauce,Vinegar, and the deep fried Chicken. And cook for about 5 more min on high heat.
·      Serve with rice or roti.
