Rohu (Rui Maach) Fish Curry

This Rohu fish curry tastes so delectable, you won't believe how fast and easy it's to make. It can be served with rice in traditional Bengali way.






Makes/Serves:  6 pieces

Ingredients:
·      6 slices of Rohu fish 
·      1tbsp Lemon juice
·      1tsp Turmeric powder
·      1tsp Chili powder
·      1tsp Coriander powder
·      2tbsp Onion paste
·      1tsp Ginger- Garlic paste
·      1 medium chopped tomato
·      2 to 3 slit green chilies
·      2tbsp chopped coriander leaves
·      2tbsp oil
·      Salt to taste

Method:
·      Marinate fish fillets with Lemon juice, half a teaspoon of Turmeric powder and Salt. Set aside for about 10 to 15 min.
·      Now Heat the oil in a pan and shallow fry fish pieces on both sides until slightly browned. Bring out to a plate and set aside.
·      Heat remaining oil in the same pan, add onion paste Add Ginger -Garlic paste and salt, and cook for about 1min on medium heat. 
·      Now add tomato and Green chilies cook it for about 1min or till tomato get soft.
·      Now add Turmeric powder, chili powder, Coriander powder and stir it for about 1 to 2 min on medium heat.
·      Now add fried fish to it and cook one side then flip other side .It will take about 1 to 2 min.
·      Now add 1/2 cup water or as needed. Cook it for 3 to 4min.
·       Add coriander leaves and off the flame.
·       Serve hot with steamed rice.
