This Rohu fish curry tastes so
delectable, you won't believe how fast and easy it's to make. It can be served with
rice in traditional Bengali way.
Makes/Serves: 6 pieces
Ingredients:
· 6 slices of Rohu fish
· 1tbsp Lemon juice
· 1tsp Turmeric powder
· 1tsp Chili powder
· 1tsp Coriander powder
· 2tbsp Onion paste
· 1tsp Ginger- Garlic paste
· 1 medium chopped tomato
· 2 to 3 slit green chilies
· 2tbsp chopped coriander leaves
· 2tbsp oil
· Salt to taste
Method:
· Marinate fish fillets with Lemon juice, half a teaspoon
of Turmeric powder and Salt. Set aside for about 10 to 15 min.
· Now Heat the oil in a pan and shallow fry fish pieces on
both sides until slightly browned. Bring out to a plate and set aside.
· Heat remaining oil in the same pan, add onion paste Add
Ginger -Garlic paste and salt, and cook for about 1min on medium heat.
· Now add tomato and Green chilies cook it for about 1min
or till tomato get soft.
· Now add Turmeric powder, chili powder, Coriander
powder and stir it for about 1 to 2 min on medium heat.
· Now add fried fish to it and cook one side then flip
other side .It will take about 1 to 2 min.
· Now add 1/2 cup water or as needed. Cook it for 3 to
4min.
· Add coriander leaves and off the flame.
· Serve hot with steamed rice.
