    Thur (Banana Flower) with Masoor dal

    Thur, (Banana Flower) is excellent source of fiber.


    Makes/Serves:  3 to 4 Servings

    Ingredients:
              1 can Thur 
              1/4 cup Masoor dal (soaked for 15 min or 1/2 hr)
              1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
              1tbsp chopped Onion(optional)
              2tbsp chopped Garlic
              4 to 5 chopped Green Chilies
              Chopped coriander leaves
              2tsp Oil
              Salt to taste

     Method:
              At first chopped the Thur and soak them in hot water for about 15min.
              Then on medium heat in a cooker add Oil, when Oil get enough hot add garlic and green chilies, salute for about 1min.
              Add Onion, Salt and Turmeric powder cook for about 1min.
              Now add Thur and dal, stir it, and add about 1cup water.
              Now with the lid on bring it to 3 to 4 whistle. Add Chopped coriander leaves, and turn off the heat.
              Serve hot with rice
