    Palak Paneer

    Palak  Paneer is very easy and delicious ,a vegetarian North Indian dish consisting of Spinach and Paneer and seasoned with Garam masala, and other spices
.


    Makes/Serves:  5 Servings

    Ingredients:
              200 gm Paneer cubes
              1 1/2cups fresh chopped Palak
              1cup chopped Coriander leaves
              1 chopped Tomato
              1tsp chopped green chili 
              1 large finely chopped Onion,
              1tsp Ginger-Garlic paste 
              1/2 tsp Red Chili powder
              1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
              1 tsp Coriander powder
              1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
              1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
              1tsp Lemon juice
              1 tsp Cream(optional)
              Salt to taste
             1 tbsp Oil (Ghee)

     Method:
              Boil Palak and Coriander leaves with 1 cup of water on medium heat for about 3 to 5 min. And make puree of it and leave a side.
              Now heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, when cumin seeds changes color add Onion, salt and Ginger Garlic paste , sauté them for about 1 to 2min 
              Add tomato and cook for 5 more min than add all spices.
              Now add Palak  puree and cook for about 3 more min.
              Add Paneer pieces to the gravy and simmer it for few more min.
              Top with little cream (optional).
              Serve with roti , naan or rice.

    Recipe Credit:

    Cook Tip: you can sauté the Paneer cubes if you wished.
