Rice pudding is a dish made from
rice mixed with water or milk and other ingredients such as Cinnamon and
Raisins and Sugar. It can be served as dessert , dinner or breakfast.
Makes/Serves: 2 to 3
servings
Ingredients:
•
1/2 cup Rice (soaked for 1 to 3 hr)
•
2cups Milk
•
1cup Sugar (as taste)
•
1/4 cup grated Coconut.(optional)
•
A pinch of salt.
•
1 Bay leaf
•
2 to 3 Cardamom
•
1/4 cup Raisins.
•
1/4 cup Cashews
Method:
•
At first in a saucepan add Milk,
Cardamom and bay leaf and bring it to boil on medium heat.
•
And now add soaked rice and cooked
for 15 to 2o min on low flame. Stir in between.
•
When Rice fully cooked add Sugar,
Salt, Raisins, Cashews .
•
And cooked for about another 5 mins
on medium heat.
•
Add grated coconut and cook for
about 3 to 5 min. And turn off the heat.
•
Serve it chilled.

Cook Tip: Do not
over cook or the pudding will be solid instead of creamy once cooled.
