Pan Fried American Shad

Pan Fried fish is very easy to make. It can be served with rice. This American Fish is readily available in American Superstores unlike Salmon is easy on pocket and keeps itself when deep/pan fried in traditional Indian way.



Makes/Serves:  3 pieces

Ingredients:
·      3 whole American Shad fish (washed and cleaned)
·      1tsp Turmeric powder
·      1tsp Chili powder
·      1tsp Coriander powder
·      3tbsp chopped Onion
·      1tsp chopped Garlic 
·      2 to 3 slit red chilies
·      2tbsp chopped Coriander leaves
·      2tbsp oil
·      Salt to taste

Method:
·      Marinate fishes with half a teaspoon of turmeric powder and salt. Set aside for about 10 to 15 min.
·      Now Heat the oil in a pan and shallow fry fish pieces on both sides until slightly browned. Bring out to a plate and set aside.It will take about 10 min.
·      Heat remaining oil in the same pan, add Onion add Garlic  and Salt, cook for about 1min on medium heat. 
·      Now add red chilies cook it for about 1min.
·      Now add Turmeric powder, Chili powder, Coriander powder and stir it for about 1 to 2 min on medium heat.
·      Now add fried fish to it and cook one side then flip other side .It will take about 3 min.
·       Add coriander leaves and off the flame.
·       Serve hot with steamed rice.
