Sweet potato Jamun is nothing but
a Sweet potato fritter.
Makes/Serves: 7 to 9 pieces
Ingredients:
•
1 medium Sweet potato (boiled and mashed)
•
2tbsp Milk powder
•
3tbsp Maida
•
3tbsp Khoya
•
A pinch of Baking powder
•
A pinch of Cardamom powder
•
1 cup Sugar
•
1tbsp Lemon juice
•
A pinch of Saffron
•
Oil or ghee for deep frying
Method:
•
At first cook Sugar and ½ cup
water, stirring till you get one string consistency syrup. Add Saffron and Lemon
juice and mix well.
•
Now mix mashed potato
with milk powder,Khoya, Maida, baking soda and. Add green
cardamom powder and mix them very well.
•
Now make small jamun balls from the
mixture.
•
Now heat a pan add oil when Oil get
hot Switch off the heat and slide the jamun into Oil.
•
When the jamuns rise above the oil,
turn on the heat and fry them on low heat, slowly stirring continuously, till
golden brown.
•
Drain and soak the jamuns in Sugar
Syrup for at least 30 min.
•
Serve it as sweet.
