many festivals like Eid , Sankranti and Bihu etc.

With your fingertips rub the oil
with the flour, to form a breadcrumb like texture.

Then add water in parts and begin
to knead. The amount of water needed will depend on the quality and texture of
the flour.

•
Cover the dough with a moist cloth
and keep aside for about 10 to 15 min minutes.

Dust the rolling board with some
flour. Roll each ball with the rolling pin to a small circle like small puri.

Now take one of them make fine
lines/cuts with knife leaving its edges. And roll them in cylindrical shape by
hand and press the both edges using oil or water. It will give it the distinct
flower shape.

to fry them until brown
•
Serve with tea.

Cook Tip: * in stead of
using oil you can use ghee. Quantity will depend on size of puri. Egg
and sugar make it crispier.
