Bread Dahi Vada

Dahi Vadais a popular snack Dahi Vada recipe has many variations. This Dahi Vada is my variation. You can make it at home with simple easy steps. No extra ordinary ingredients required. You can enjoy this recipe in Ramadan for Iftar as well as on Eid and other occasions.

Makes/Serves:  4 to 5 Servings

Ingredients:
          6 Bread slices
          1 small boiled, mashed Potato
          1/4 tsp Baking powder
          ½ tsp Salt
          1/2 tsp Black Pepper
          1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
          Oil for deep frying
          1 cup Yogurt
          1 tsp. Sugar
          1tsp Chaat masala
          1tsp Cumin powder
          1tso Chili powder
          2tsp sweet chutney
2 tsp chopped Coriander leaves (or chopped Mint leaves)

 Method:
Soak the Bread slices in water and squeeze.
Then mix soaked bread slices and mash Potato, salt, baking powder, Black Pepper, Cumin seeds. Mix well and make small sized ball.
Then heat a frying pan add oil and deep-fry them till light brown.
          Now Bara is ready.
Side by side take a bowl with cold water and mix a pinch of Salt.
Now drop the Bara to cold water, when it gets a little soft, squeeze out the water between palms and take out them in a serving dish.
Now in bowl beat Yogurt and Sugar together with adding little water
And pour yogurt to each over the Vada,  pour sweet chutney, sprinkle them with Cumin powder, Chaat masala, Chili powder, and Coriander leaves
          Serve it like a Chaat/Snack.

Cook Tip: After frying the vada you can leave it a side, soak in water when you want to want to serve it. Instead of mashed potato you can use paneer.
