Vegetable Pulao

 Pulao is  a variation of rice, goes  well with any vegetables and curry.


Makes/Serves: 3 to 4 Servings

Ingredients:
          1cup kalijira rice(basmati rice)
          1/4 cup slice onion
          1/4 cup peas
          1/4 cup chopped carrot
          1/2 tsp ginger paste
          1pinch turmeric powder
          1/2 tsp Saunf powder (Fennel Seed)
          1tbsp Raisin (optional)
          1tbsp Cashew nut (optional)
          1tbsp Ghee (or oil)
          1 Bay Leaf
          Salt to taste
          1 and 1/3 cup water.

 Method:
          Put a cooker in medium heat and add ghee, bay leaves, and onion saute them for about 1min.
          Now add rice, salt and ginger paste, turmeric powder, saunf powder, and fry them for about 3 to 4 min on medium heat or until the rice becomes crispy.
          Now add peas,carrot and raisin and cashew and stir it.
          Now add water and closed the lid. After 1 to 2 whistle turn off the flame and let the pressure out itself.
          Serve it with any curry.

Cook Tip: You can skip the Vegetables and Raisin and Cashew.
